The new face of Marc Jacobs, and why she's forever relevant.

Cher  - the new face for Marc Jacobs Fall 2015

Cher - singer, actress and style icon is Marc Jacob's latest and obvious muse - He accompanied her in this year's Met Gala and she's now graced his fall 2015 campaign. Katie Grand unveiled the very first image on twitter Wednesday morning - Marc I just want you to know - my faith in you is beginning to restore.

The 69-year old wears a black floor-length gown from Jacob's interestingly-eerie fall 2015 collection - She throws a sharp look for the image shot by David Sims. I adore that she has some serious witchcraft-ey-ness going on, but I'm not a fan of the photographer chosen or the overall creative direction. The image couldve been more in context with the collection's mood. Hire Tim Walker, Katie - Marc's collection's begging for him.

However, this is the first image, and nobody's sure as to what the others look like, or if they star other Industry icons.

While we live in 2015, that has the #freethenipple campaign making rounds on social media - Cher was the first woman to "expose" her navel on television - and fought censorship during the 70s to bare her belly button. She's the woman who freed the navel. All you crop top people - bow down, bitches.

Why I genuinely will never fall out of love with Cher is because she did the glitter-gypsy look and the crazy-sheer dresses before everyone else ever did - or ever thought of doing. She had black lustrous hair and unconventional style. I don't think you can ever out-do that. Let's not overlook how she rose to success in a male-dominated entertainment world. She was wild and carefree and comfortable in her own skin before it was okay to be.

for this years met Gala)

Ive always found Marc too much of a basic bitch. I wont lie, some of his collections for Louis Vuitton were hideous. On the flip side his own brand seemed forever interesting - and I was pleased to watch him depart Louis Vuitton and pass the baton to Nicolas Ghesquiere.

I'm glad youre finally where you do your best Marc. Brilliance is on your side with the fall collection coupled with this campaign featuring Cher.
